Pyjama-rama was A small scale festival with two Performace spaces, based around The Nightclub room and Outdoor beer garden of the Baroque room In katoomba. It was inclusive to musicians and visual Artists, and Featured a Wild assortment of Musical genres ranging from punk and metal to glam rock and hip hop. Audience Members were encouraged to attend in pyjamas And dressing gowns but none of them were sleeping!
Through Facilitating this multi-generation, we were able to connect Seven Emerging Acts with an internationally Notable band, Aussie punk royalty the hard on’s, Who used the opportunity to film A music video for their song ‘Oh, you’re crushed?”
While Providing many Musical and artist opportunities, this event provided Promotional Exposure for a few local businesses, who were able to operate stalls. Pyjama-rama also Encouraged awareness and empathy for mental health, achieved through the showcasing of three local visual artists who Tackled such themes in their work. Funds were also raised for reSilience, a mental health organisation based in Lithgow, who ran a pop up store distributing Health information, Knowledge and advice.
